Often couples present to therapy with problems related to both communication and sex. Yet, according to researchers, many fail to bring up their sexuality-related concerns with their providers, even when this is an area in which they are seeking support. To address this common problem the presenter will focus on how to incorporate sex therapy into one’s work as a couple and family therapist. This will include a reviewing and provision of assessment tools, key principles and practices associated with sex therapy, and effective techniques from foundational and current sex therapy models. After this overview, the presenter will briefly consult on cases, answer questions, and be available for meet and greets and book signings.
